Look down at your hand. No, for real, look down at the palm of your hand. See how it kind of “cups.” Check out this verse; Isaiah 40:12 (speaking of God) “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand…” As a surfer you are well aware of the vastness of the oceans. The Bible says that God could hold them all in that little “cup” in the palm of His hand. That’s big!

This year we’re asking the question, “Who do you surf for?” When you consider how great God is, it seems silly to surf for other things. To show off how great I am is kind of lame when I consider how great He is. To draw attention to me doesn’t make a lot of sense when people could be focusing on Him. Now, look back at your hand and remember, that very same God put on flesh and died so that we could live. WOW! Why do I surf for anything or anyone else? What about you?
