Sometimes, especially on trips, I wonder why God allows me to get totally skunked on waves. At other times I’ve felt guilty that my life is so good when a huge portion of the world lives in truly horrendous conditions. God says in Ecclesiastes 7:14, “When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.” Isn’t it awesome to know that God is in control and is working out HIS plan. I don’t always understand what His plan is but it sure is good to know He has one. It’s also encouraging to know that His plan has my best interests in mind. That doesn’t mean I’m always going to end up where I want to be or with all the things I want, but it does mean I’m going to end up with what is best (defined by God).
Whether you are having a great day or a bad day, remember; If you surf for Jesus, He is working out a plan bigger than just your next wave and you can take comfort in that.
So, who do you surf for?
